Over the years there have been several tribute compilations released to celebrate Kraftwerk. Most of them have really, well not even deserved to leave the "idea"-stage of it. On the follow up of "Trans Slovenia Express" I’m surprised in a positive way though. A lot of the artists have really taken the time to make their own versions of the classic tracks rather than doing the easy "find the midifile"-sollution. This makes this compilation a lot more interesting. There are some really nice versions like Rozmarinkes "Radioactivity" with acoustic guitars and strings and also Silence feat. Anne Clarke does a really wonderful "Hall of mirrors". If you are a big Kraftwerk fan you really should check this one out to get a new perspective of the old hits. And to be honest, it’s by far the best Kraftwerk tribute out there up-to-date. My only question mark on this CD is Laibach. If you are supposed to appear on a tribute compilation. Why the h**l do you make your own track?. Maybe it’s just Laibach way to have fun and be special. But I would have enjoyed a hard Laibach version of "The Model" or similar.

It's certanly strange that Laibach don't have a cover on this "cover compilation". They are one of the best song interpretators around, so that's strange. But I have to say that "Brudershaft" (their contribution on this album), is one of the best songs around this year.
