This is the teaser single from the upcoming album Nigred. Giftraum is described by the record company as an excellent introduction to Diary of Dreams, since it contains all the different styles of the band, ranging from dancefloor power to pure sadness. And sure, if you by excellent mean mediocre I do agree. We are treated to four tracks, two mixes of Giftraum, which is a fast dancefloor oriented track, Fallacy, a slower song where Adrian is better described speaking than singing the lyrics, and Unkind, a slow and moody song.
If you have never listened to Diary of Dreams before, I doubt that this single will get you hooked, I'd recommend that you to instead give “One of 18 angels” a try. If you on the other hand already are a Diary of Dreams fan, you’ll probably like this, it’s not the best that they have released, but its ok.
