This is the eagerly expected new single from the Canadian electro/industrial giants. The single contains three tracks: 2 versions of the title track "Everything Must Perish" and a third track named "Providence". "Everything Must Perish" is pretty much a standard Front Line Assembly song, sounding like a natural continuation from the "Implode" album. Both versions are pretty similar, except that the radio edit is shorter. "Providence" is a good track too, but it doesn't really sound like Front Line Assembly, but more like Delerium from the "Karma" period, with female heavenly vocals. The music is like a softer version of Front Line Assembly, without the hard edge.
I'm somewhat disappointed since I read somewhere that the new material should sound more like "Tactical Neural Implant" and the fabulous "Caustic Grip". However, this is of course good material, but it's just a little bit too tame to be perfect. On the other hand, I heard that this single isn't representative for the entire album so we'll just have to wait and hope...
