Neuroactive are an electro band from Finland. Surprisingly, they are really great and are the best Finnish band around. This compilation contains all their unique remixes made for compilations and such. You get a generous total of twenty-two songs and two videos on this compilation!
The compilation starts off with the fabulous "Moments Passing by (Radio Mix)". That remix is without doubt the best song released by Neuroactive. It has it all: great song, dark suggestive vocals, superb production and mixing - it is simply the complete electro track. Other great songs are "Timemachine (Neurotransmitter Remix)", which is taken from the "Mix Rinse and Spin - Volume 2" compilation. That song is without doubt the best track on that entire double album compilation. All the mentioned tracks are later material. The earlier material on disc two isn't as good, but it is still pretty good. A track worth mentioning from disc two is "Shapeless (Supernatural Mix)", which is strong and has a pretty hard edge so to say. The earlier material is more EBM oriented, but is not very hard. It occasionally reminds of Front 242 in the late eighties.
This is good electro with a vocalist far above standard. Especially the later material stands out, but the early stuff lowers the grade a step. Many of the remixes from disc one are superb hits and I am Certainly looking forward to their coming album.

Best compilation in a long time
Name: vile (213.28.69.7) Rating: 9
Neuroactive struck me with Morphology. I had heard the band at several compilations, but the songs selected were not the best ones.
It seemed that Neuroactive is the leading electronic Finnish band still active, and now with the release of Neurology they have made it clear.
Neurology sums up the years 1994-2000 with 22 songs, and with two videos (which are a nice + but little else).
The music in this compilation is very much like the best finnish band ever, the Advanced Art.
Only more modern and better made. The vocalist sounds very gray, but it fits the music.
My recommendations!
