The artwork for this album suggests a cross between Laibach, a toned-down Die Form, and Blutengel. Fortunately, for this reviewers sanity if nothing else, the actual music is pretty far from how one imagines that would sound.

No, Thomas Rainer is a "Tanzdiktator", and this album doubtlessly sounds much better on the dance floor than it does in my little house in the forest. It's sort of Grendel or Hocico with pounding techno beats, full of distorted vocals about sex, war and dancing. Among other things. I find myself most disturbed, however, by the sampling of a Jack Nicholson monologue - or rather, the German-dubbed version of it. Some things simply should not be.

But it's a good album all in all, all hissing noises, murderous beats and thundering bass lines. Not so good for listening, plenty good for dancing. If I were more of a dancer, the rating would probably be higher than it is. And the artwork has obviously received lots of care and attention. If uniformed women enjoying each other's company is your thing, you'll get your money's worth there.

Summing up: Dance floor-oriented aggrotech, well executed and good-looking, but won't blow anyone's mind.

Hilarious :) (and yes, if it sounded like Die Form or Blutengel it would be horrible)
