C-Drone-Defect is the brain child of Marc Horstmeier who started this project in 2000. It has been over five years since he made an album."Dystopia" is the second album to be released on his current label Noitekk, and the first one released was called "Nemesis", if you would like to check out the back catalog.
The feeling I get when listening to this album is how large the music is. It grows and grows and then grows some more. It's like watching a movie or an opera in a way. Or even better, playing a video game that is very exciting and adventurous. It has very hard drums mixed with a lot of synths making all kinds of sounds and even putting a little neo-classical touch to it all. The vocals are harsh and distorted as one could suspect. Some songs are softer though and the whole album with all of it's songs is like a story being told in different chapters.
This CD also comes in a limited version with a bonus-CD filled with remixes and such.
If you would like to take a trip into a strange and sometimes scary world, then I really think you should take that trip inside C-Drone-Defect with Marc Horstmeier as a narrator.
