RevCo is back for another assault on anything resembling good taste. The album cover sets the tone nicely. The album actually DOES kind of sound like a combination of busty blondes, Mexican wrestlers and bikers competing in a, well, in Sexual Olympics...
RevCo is basically Al Jourgensen with a revolving cast of helpers, this time around notably Canadian poet/Gas station owner Josh Bradford, who is held responsible for the lyrics. Going by those, his main interests in life are robots, prostitutes, alcohol and sex, in any combination. It all adds up to a sort of "The thinking man's fart gag", or childish humour for people who normally know better. A failsafe formula, obviously.
The music is Jourgensen taking time off from his trademark aggression and smoldering rage. Add to that a really slick production and the end result is sometimes dangerously close to bland. The guitar riffs are slightly less murderous than they should be, the beats a bit too smooth to really make you sit up and listen closely. But as a party album it'll work nicely, and with titles like "Hookerbot 3000", "Wizard of Sextown" and my personal favourite, "I'm Not Gay", party is what you should do with this one.
