Drifting in Silence is an apt description of the feeling evoked by the music of American multi-instrumentalist and composer Derrick Stembridge.
"The thinking person's Dance Music" that is what Drifting in Silence is said to be. Well that might be true, what do I know? Sounds like another word for IDM (Intelligent Dance Music). I easily get confused with all the genres and sub-genres.
Drifting in Silence makes me think of film music of some reason, so much going on and so many changes in the music itself. Ambient isn't the right word for Facewithin but ambience maybe suits it better - with beats and the usual electronic sounds. It can be pretty harsh at times with some industrial touches to it. It's all a little too complex for me as I am a simple guy.
