Hard pumping EBM/Electronic Music with glorious sing-along lyrics! That's what the biography of this Swedish band says and for you who haven't heard of this formation before here's a short introduction :
Autodafeh is a three man group from the southern parts of Sweden and the three friends decided in late 2007 to create Autodafeh. All three of them have been involved in the EBM scene for a long time and if you want to know more about their involvement then you'll just have to Google it. And yes I have tried to find out what the name stands for but more than having DAF in it, no luck.

This is music you turn up the volume at once when the first track hits your ears and I can say after the first few seconds that I like it. Very energetic and hard pumping EBM the way I think it's supposed to be. I can't say that it's 100% original but then again EBM isn't supposed to be, but still it has a special feel to it with some new sounds (new to me anyway). One of those songs having a distinct Autodafeh sound is song number three "Bodycount" which is a slower song but I love the programming and the sound of it.

Song number four "No Names" starts with a George Bush speech but from what I've heard on the Swedish radio program Virus, Autodafeh is not a political band, they just have a critical song about the war innitiated by the United States of America. Some of the songs are a bit slow and that's ok, but when you have three songs in a row that are a bit on the slow side that makes me a bit bored but then I wake up again when a hard pumping song comes like "Souls of Destruction" which have a marvelous beat and such energy.

Go get this album. It's not a request it's an order!

Well thank you for noticing that in the review, I forgot to mention the war and I have now fixed that. I now also know what Autodafeh means :)

Dear Johannes! I got two things ;) First, I want to thank you very much for your review! I'm glad you like our record. Second, 'No Names' is not a critical song about the US, it's a critical song about the fact of war. We (ADF) love the US and we hope to be over there soon and play some live gigs. ;) Keep it up! Autodafeh - is a take on the word Autodafe "The public execution of those sentences by secular authorities, especially by burning at the stake" There was an 80's synth band named Autodafe and the men need to change it a bit. The also like to use the acronym, ADF. :]
