Jakalope - new project from Dave Ogilvie As if it wasn't enough stir in the American industrial scene, with new albums from both Ministry and Skinny Puppy, Dave Ogilvie announces his latest project Jakalope. Other members of Jakalope are Katie B, Don Harrison, Don Binns, Don Short and Anthony Valcic.
The three Dons has previously with Vancouver metal-act Sons of Freedom, Don Short did some guitars on the FLA album Millennium, Anthony Valcic was a member of Download but has also worked with, among others, Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly. A further introduction of Ogilvie seems unnecessary, he has worked with Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Einstürzende Neubauten, Front Line Assembly and Drown, just to name a few.
While the roster of Jakalope looks impressive enough, there's also a couple of interesting guest appearances. Trent Reznor produced, wrote and played on various tracks for the album and Monster Magnet, Jamey Koch (a.k.a. Bob Rock) and 12 Rounds and Sikth are also expected to lay down some tracks for Jakalope.
Jakalope are signed to Canadian Orange Records, release dates for single and album are still to be confirmed.
